Documents available 24h/24h via online counter

For a city like Brussels, it is a challenge to handle the many requests for administrative documents such as the certificate of family composition. From now on, the citizens of Brussels can print five such documents at home, without moving to the counter.

Each citizen with a PC equipped with a card reader for an electronic ID card (eID) and in possession of his PIN code can print 5 certificates at home (with legal force) via the City website (www.brussels.be/4132): the certificates of family composition, life, nationality, registration and residence.

In February 2016, 20% of all operations at the counter can thus be done from a distance. People without Internet access or that do not have the right equipment, can use the terminals at the Administrative Centre and the liaison office of Laeken. Through these computers, citizens no longer have to wait in line at the counter
