Visualising patrols

For a police force, it is important to be able to locate patrols in real time.

Since 2010, the policing zone of the Brussels Capital Ixelles has been using a radio-positioning service for AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) portable radios which makes it possible to locate patrol cars so as to dispatch them more quickly to any incident location. In addition, since 2014, APL (Automatic Person Location) for portable radios also allows for the real-time location of foot patrols, thereby ensuring a better distribution of assignments.
